Mithun Chakraborty Give a Miss to BJP Core Committee Meeting Chaired by Amit Shah

Actor Mithun Chakraborty was notably absent from a crucial BJP core committee meeting in West Bengal chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and attended by National President JP Nadda.

The meeting aimed to finalize the party’s strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal. Chakraborty, currently in New Jersey, went to the US before the meeting was scheduled.

State BJP leaders denied any underlying reasons for his absence, emphasizing his commitment to the party. Chakraborty, who joined the BJP in March 2021, is expected to actively participate in campaign programs once they commence. Recently, he claimed that numerous Trinamool Congress legislators were in touch with him with the intention of joining the BJP.
